Māmā, kaihaka, and business wahine, Kahurangi is passionate about all things Māori. Having worked in the media, marketing, and tertiary industries for over 15 years, she alongside her husband Chey Milne fused their commitment to te reo Māori with their experience in the television industry to create their own Rotorua-based company; Arataua Media. For the past 10-plus years, they have produced and created many hours of television and digital content and continue to grow their humble business in the heart of Rotorua, serving local and national kaupapa & clients. A kaihaka (performer) for Te Kapa Haka o Ngāti Rangiwewehi, she is fortunate to have grown up in te ao haka, as a performer, tutor and has also travelled the world as a cultural ambassador. She has recently been part of the presenting team for the Te Matatini broadcast and is now looking forward to putting on her piupiu for the upcoming Te Matatini competition 2023.
She is also the founder of the Kia Ora Māmā Charitable Trust, a community dedicated to empowering and uplifting Māori Māmā on their motherhood journey. Her greatest passion and gift to the world are her two beautiful Māori girls and their whānau commitment to te reo Māori with the many different kaupapa they’re a part of.
