An award-winning investigative journalist, Mihingaarangi Forbes is a broadcaster and the presenter and creator of the NZ Wars series.
Mihingaarangi presents the RNZ investigative series Mata Reports and the political podcast, ‘Mata with Mihingaarangi’. She began her career in the 90s as a journalist at Te Karere.
Since then, Mihingaarangi has worked across a range of channels and mediums, with roles on Campbell Live, 20/20, Native Affairs, The Hui and RNZ.
Mihingaarangi is the winner of Te Tohu Kairangi - Best Journalist Māori Affairs at the 2023 Voyager Media Awards. It’s the third time she has received this award. Mihingaarangi now runs her own production company Aotearoa Media Collective with collaborator Annabelle Lee-Mather.
